"SMALL TOWN TEAMS,
BIG TIME DREAMS."
DAKOTA ROOTS HOCKEY SCHOOL
ABOUT OUR CAMPS
Our camps are Monday through Friday and are typically 1 to 2 weeks long. We have 4 days of training that involve classroom, dry-land, competitive activities, and 3 hours of ice time a day. Campers are split into two teams at the start of camp and compete in a scrimmage on the final day.
Depending on the camp, we also have 30-60 minutes set aside for goalie specific training per day.
Dakota Roots Hockey School was founded by small town hockey players, for small town hockey players and anyone with a passion for hockey.
Our main focus is providing players, no matter where they are from, the opportunity to build their skills, love, and knowledge for the game of hockey during the summer months. We want to help our campers develop healthy training and preparation habits that will help them prepare for their hockey career, wherever they end up.
Our staff carries a variety of coaches that have played and trained at all positions and levels of the game, including professional. Because the players we are working with don't always have large amounts of ice time available in the summer, we take our jobs as coaches very seriously. We want our campers getting the most out of their experience with our team. That being said, we still know how to have fun!
